Acne elminating Neutrogena Light Therapy Mask.

Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask

My daughter has entered the world of tweendom and has recently been experiencing acne breakouts.  We have tried numerous over the counter topical acne and blemish products and nothing seemed to work for her.  A product might have started out working for the first few times she tried it – but nothing seemed to consistently help clear her skin until we tried the Neutrogena Light Therapy Mask.  We heard about the Neutrogena Light Therapy Mask from my daughter's friend who uses it and loves it.

The Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask is a 10 minute light therapy acne treatment that you use daily after washing your face. The blue light inside the mask targets acne-causing bacteria while the red light reduces acne inflammation.  The mask covers your entire face and can be used anywhere at any time.  The mask makes you look like Jason from Friday the 13th movies – but it works!  My daughter has used this in our car at night and I am sure we have frightened a few passersby’s.  I can honestly say that from the very first time my daughter used the mask, she experienced significant visible results.  Additionally, each time she uses it we can see a difference from before and after the treatment.  My husband kind of freaked out once he saw her getting a treatment (I guess I should have told him what it was beforehand) but even he was convinced that although it may be odd looking it actually works to help dry and clear acne.

The cost of the Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask is around $35.00 depending on where you purchase it and it comes with a 30-day treatment activator.  The activator costs $14.99 individually and you will have to purchase one of these monthly.

What we love most about this mask is that it is 100 % chemical-free and 100% UV free in addition to being cleared by the FDA.  The only negative I would have to say is that you have to purchase a new 30-day treatment dispenser each month – adding to your cost.  Additionally, you have to drop the activator off at specific recycling locations (which you can find on Neutrogena's site).

But overall we really do love this product and will continue using it. I paid for this product and wanted to do a review as we liked the results.
