I Will Always Choose Love
Choose Love has always been my motto. I am turning 50 years old this year, which is an age I never thought I would live to see. However, I welcome this birthday with open arms. I am eternally grateful for the life I have lived and for not taking the steps that I often thought of which would have prevented me from experiencing all the good things life has to offer, despite the difficulties I had to overcome to get to this point.
With all the negativity going on in the world, we need love more than ever. I believe that it's easier to love than to hate. We are born with love in our hearts, while hate is learned and takes an effort to develop.
No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.

I Want Love
As I detailed in the “My Story” section of this site, my childhood was not ideal. What child gets rejected by two families in the lottery of life? Me, that's who. My birth mother allowed an environment of abuse and neglect and then my adopted family took the abuse to an entirely different level.
I've only ever had one wish and that is to be loved and accepted as I believe every child/person deserves.

Choose Love Over Hate
I will always choose love regardless of circumstances. It is not a slogan to me, it literally is my life's creed.
If someone like me who has been through neglect, abuse, overt racism, sexual assault, and rape can make the conscious effort to Choose Love, I believe anyone can.
I chose love because in the words of Martin Luther King, Jr. “Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

Making others feel included and accepted is something that is always on my mind and something that I strive to accomplish in every situation. Although I am sure I have failed in some ways over the years, I've always wanted people to feel included as I know what it is like to be felt left out and to look on from the sidelines.

I love this movement. Too many people are out there judging everyone, and it’s none of their business. We just need to let everyone be who they are and focus on love and happiness.

I super love this post. Choose love. I always choose love, above all, because GOD is love and it is the nicest emotion in the world. I like this, “I believe that it is easier to love than it is to hate.” Which makes me wonder sometimes why people are capable of so much hate because it is not a natural feeling.
Wow! You are an inspiration. I like that you’re not ashamed of telling your story and how you’ve decided to choose love instead of hate. As someone who has been sexually assaulted at a young age, I find this amazing. You’re one of the people who doesn’t get overly sensitive when issues like this are being brought up. Like me, you’ve chosen to forgive and love and that is beautiful. You’ve lived life up to this age and there’s a reason. I hope you find that reason.
I love this campaign. #ChooseLove imparts a powerful message. I will take part on the 16th of this month and be an advocate to choose love over hate. This is very similar to a campaign I joined about a year ago and it was called #KindnessRevolution.

What a beautiful movement to be a part of! Choosing love, regardless of the shape, form, or type of relationship that you’re considering (romantic, parent-child, friendship, etc), going into it with 100% LOVE is always the way to go.
