Hack the Vax with the Meg Foundation!
This “Hack the Vax with the Meg Foundation” is a sponsored post by the Meg Foundation.
All opinions expressed are my own.
I don't know anyone that actually enjoys getting a shot, do you? I literally can't stand the sight of a needle.
Sometimes I sit back and wonder about how I actually survived the miracle of having two children via c-section and all of the needles that I had to endure throughout my pregnancies and during the surgeries.
When I look back to the time that my husband and I started talking about having children, I realize that the precious miracle of bringing two wonderful children into this world was worth every needle poke and so much more.
To, this day, needles still make me anxious but in the end, I care more about the importance of my health and the importance of keeping others healthy than I do about getting shots so I endure the few seconds of the injection into my skin for the greater good.
Needle Humor
Cue the corny needle jokes!
- I’d tell you a joke about a blunt needle but it’s pointless.
- I would tell you a joke about a needle in a haystack, but I don’t think you’d see the point.
- Good acupuncture is a jab well done.

I sincerely hopes this helps people out there who are too afraid of needles to get their vaccines. It’s so important.
I hope so as well. Thank you for reading!
Everyone should get the vaccine. I hope this helps those who are afraid of needles overcome it. We are desperate for the vaccine here in India.
I am praying that the vaccine gets to India quickly to help save lives. I can’t even imagine what you all are going through. Sending prayers your way!
Really good to know about Meg foundation. Thanks for sharing with us
You are welcome!
Amazing how a small needle can be so scary. I have a very low pain tolerance, so I do get anxious with taking a shot of vaxx. This is so timely that we all are thinking about the Corona Virus vaxx.
I really needed to read this today. I am so, so scared of needles despite being covered in tattoos. But I’m still going to go for the vax. It’ll just keep me up at night until then.
There is so much unknown about the covid vaccine… I understand people who are eager to get it right away but for me personally I will wait.
I can totally relate. I am also anxious around needles but we’ll just have to learn how to live with it. Thank you for sharing these tips.
You are most welcome!
If one fears a vaccination simply due to needle fear then it would be a pity to not do the vax. It is good that there is help for this fear.
Thanks for creating such a wonderful foundation! Needles still make me nervous but I know I need to vaccinate to help save others!
What a great article. It makes sense. I laughed at the corny jokes though. Great initiative. I hope we can all get vaccinated soon.
Getting any shot is anxiety driven. I am glad there are resources to help people right now with this.
This is a lovely hack, to work with around those needle-stabs! I might get my stab, this week!
Meg foundation really had a great way of doing the work. Their visions seems pretty clear!
