Spa and Wellness Month – The Palm Beaches Florida

All are welcome to enjoy luxurious facials and massages starting from $50 or take part in enriching wellness experiences such as meditation and yoga, starting from $5. These services are available at more than 15 spa and wellness establishments throughout The Palm Beaches. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, several participating businesses are donating a portion of their proceeds to charities like the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Organization. The Palm Beaches boast some of the world's most prestigious spas and wellness centers. I had the pleasure of experiencing some of what Palm Beach has to offer, and it was truly amazing. While my trip was sponsored by Discover the Palm Beaches, my review is based solely on the experiences I had during my trip.

Marriott Singer Island

My husband and I recently stayed at the stunning Marriott Singer Island Hotel, which happens to be the only all-suite hotel in Palm Beach that is located right on the beach. The hotel boasts of 189 spacious, stylish, and contemporary suites that offer condo-style living ideal for family vacations, romantic getaways, and business travel. The decor is sleek and modern, with furnishings that evoke the colors of the sand, sea, and sky.

While we were there, we visited the resort's award-winning SiSpa, which offers wonderful sea-inspired pampering and wellness therapies. I opted for the Reiki treatment, which is a light-to-no-touch energy treatment that aids in relaxation and promotes healing. At first, I was a little skeptical as I had never heard of this type of treatment before, but from the moment the therapist placed his hands lightly on my shoulders, I could feel the energy of my body. It was an incredible experience and I highly recommend adding it to your list of favorite spa treatments!

SiSpa

SiSpa is the only spa on the Island with therapists trained to provide treatment to individuals with cancer or those who have had cancer. They offer a list of treatments called “Comfort Care Classics”, which includes manicures, pedicures, massage treatments, facials, a Dilo Wrap (featuring Dilo Rescue Gel, high in vitamins A, C, and E, and combined with coconut oil and aloe to make a supercharged healing cocktail for the skin), and the Reiki treatment. I had the pleasure of experiencing the Reiki treatment.

We were graciously hosted by The Palm Beaches. We appreciate the fabulous experience and wonderful hospitality. Please see our other posts about the trip:

About Discover The Palm Beaches Florida

The Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council (TDC) was established by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners in 1981. In 1982, Palm Beach County enacted its first tourist tax and created a Tourist Development Plan for spending the revenues generated by the tax. The tourist tax, commonly known as the “bed tax,” is levied on lodging room nights in the County for a term of six months or less.

Discover Palm Beach County, the original name of what is now known as Discover The Palm Beaches, was formed in 1983 as a nonprofit entity. DTPB operates under a contract with Palm Beach County to provide tourism marketing services under the County's Tourist Development Plan and receives funding from a portion of the “bed tax” collected in the County. DTPB's Board of Directors provides supervision over DTPB affairs.

Discover The Palm Beaches is only one of the non-profit tourism organizations acting under contract to the County. The Tourist Development Council whose responsibility is contract oversight of the agencies funded by the “bed tax,” also acts as a liaison between the agencies and the Board of County Commissioners. The other agencies under the umbrella of the TDC are the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission, and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
