Spa and Wellness Month in The Palm Beaches Florida
The Palm Beaches of South Florida hosts a Spa & Wellness Month each September. Organized by Discover The Palm Beaches, the official tourism marketing corporation for Palm Beach County, the October-long promotion highlights the array of wellness-focused offerings available throughout America’s First Resort Destination. Designated to rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul, these featured spa therapies and wellness experiences are only available at these exclusive, limited-time prices throughout the month of September.
Spa and Wellness Month – The Palm Beaches Florida
All are welcome to take an indulgent escape in first-class facials and massages starting from $50 or enriching wellness experiences, such as meditation and yoga from $5, at more than 15 spa and wellness establishments throughout The Palm Beaches. Several participating businesses are also donating a portion of their proceeds to charities such as the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Organization as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The Palm Beaches are home to some of the world’s most prestigious spas and wellness centers. I had the opportunity to indulge in some of what Palm Beach has to offer and it was amazing. My trip was sponsored by Discover the Palm Beaches, but my review is solely based on the experiences I had while on the trip.
Marriott Singer Island
We stayed at the beautiful Marriott Singer Island Hotel. It is the only beachfront all-suite hotel in Palm Beach. Each of the 189 suites offers spacious and stylish condo-style living in surroundings that are equally ideal for family vacations, romantic getaways, and business travel. The décor is sleek and contemporary, with modern furnishings and a palette that evokes the sand, sea, and sky.
The resorts’ award-winning SiSpa offers sea-inspired pampering and wellness therapies. I had the Reiki treatment which is a light to no-touch energy treatment to aid in relaxation and promote healing. It was an incredible experience! I was a little skeptical at first as I hadn’t heard of this type of treatment, but from the moment the therapist lightly placed his hands on my shoulders, I could feel the energy of my body. I will definitely add this to my list of favorite spa treatments!
SiSpa
SiSpa is the only spa on the Island that all of the therapists are trained to provide treatment to individuals with cancer or have had cancer. SiSpa offers a list of treatments called “Comfort Care Classics”. The list includes manicures and pedicures, massage treatments, facials, a Dilo Wrap (featuring Dilo Rescue Gel, high in vitamins A, C, and E and combined with coconut oil and aloe to make a supercharged healing cocktail for the skin), and the Reiki treatment which I experienced.
We were graciously hosted by The Palm Beaches. We appreciate the fabulous experience and wonderful hospitality. Please see our other posts about the trip:

About Discover The Palm Beaches Florida
The Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council (TDC) was established by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners in 1981. In 1982, Palm Beach County enacted its first tourist tax and created a Tourist Development Plan for spending the revenues generated by the tax. The tourist tax, commonly known as the “bed tax,” is levied on lodging room nights in the County for a term of six months or less.
Discover Palm Beach County, the original name of what is now known as Discover The Palm Beaches, was formed in 1983 as a nonprofit entity. DTPB operates under a contract with Palm Beach County to provide tourism marketing services under the County's Tourist Development Plan and receives funding from a portion of the “bed tax” collected in the County. DTPB's Board of Directors provides supervision over DTPB affairs.
Discover The Palm Beaches is only one of the non-profit tourism organizations acting under contract to the County. The Tourist Development Council whose responsibility is contract oversight of the agencies funded by the “bed tax,” also acts as a liaison between the agencies and the Board of County Commissioners. The other agencies under the umbrella of the TDC are the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission, and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
