It's Time To Visit Europe!
If you are seeking a unique and exciting holiday experience, traveling around Europe might be just what you need. With countless countries to choose from, each with its own fascinating history and delicious cuisine, visiting only one country would be a missed opportunity. For adventurous travelers who enjoy road trips, Europe is the perfect destination as it is easy to navigate. The only challenging part is deciding which places to visit, as there are so many great options to choose from!
Getting Around Europe
Most of Europe is located on the continent, making interrailing a great way to explore the countryside and cities. Trains are a popular mode of transport in Europe, and you'll be pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they are. If you're looking to save money on accommodation, you can also book a cabin on a sleeper train and wake up in a new location. Alternatively, you could opt for budget flights to travel between countries. As Europe is relatively small compared to the USA, it doesn't take long to get from one country to another. Many European airports are located close to major cities, and some countries offer reliable train services directly from the airport to the city center.
Taking in the Culture
The history of Europe can be seen right across the continent with the influence of the ancient Greeks and Romans visible in all kinds of ways. The various European Empires have had a massive impact and in large capital cities like Rome, Paris, and London, there are some of the best museums containing artifacts from around the world.
Walking tours are a great way to see a lot of the different cities in Europe and if you are staying in a hostel or hotel, you should ask for the best tour guide to take you around. Many European cities also have excellent public transport networks that will help you get around and find all the best spots.
Where to Go
Europe is full of fabulous cities and though traveling to capital cities is more expensive, you should keep them in mind for your travels as they offer lots of attractions. Berlin, Madrid, and Budapest are all popular with travelers but smaller cities like Frankfurt, Barcelona, and Split are also great locations to try. There are plenty of alternative destinations to try out too.
When you are planning your trip, you should think about which countries you most want to visit. Then, when you have a list, think about which cities in those countries will suit you and draw lines between them to plan your route. There are some very common routes travelers take, such as Prague to Budapest or Rome to Vienna but there’s no reason that you can’t do as you please by flying between destinations.
