Four Amazing Reasons to Upgrade Your Deck!
- Increase the value of your home!
As stated above, a gorgeous deck can increase the value of your home. Whether you are planning on selling soon or if you plan on selling in the future. Buyers, will pay more for an upgraded and/or brand new deck. You should get the most out of your deck while living in your home. - Give Your Deck an Updated Look!
Are you using your deck as much as you had planned when you first moved into your home? Is it too small? Does the hardwood still have its luster? Does your deck meet your lifestyle needs?
- Is your deck limited in terms of functionality?
Are you spending the amount of time you would like on your deck? What is holding you back from doing so? I highly recommend making a list of what you would like to be doing on your deck. Do you need more space for grilling? Do you need more living space? Is protecting yourself from the sun and rain a factor? Is privacy from neighbors a concern? - Is Your Deck Safe?
Has anyone been injured on your deck from splintering handrails? Is the hardwood flooring in good shape or is it weathered and a possible hazard? Does your deck have the proper safety features? Are you avoiding holding gatherings because of the way your deck looks?
If you have answered yes to one more of these questions, it is probably time to consider upgrading and/or adding a deck to your home. After all, your home is your castle. You should have everything you want and need in your home to make you feel comfortable and welcoming.
Pro-Tip!
If your deck is low enough not to require a railing, you can have a bench built around the perimeter to provide seating and a sense of enclosure. We love our bench around our deck as we can accommodate more people with places to sit.

They look beautiful.especially for an outside chilling place.
I think so as well!
Thank you!
I love to stay in our deck. It gives me a relaxing mood especially in the morning while having my coffee. Hopefully, the look will be updated soon, if time and budget permits, Thanks for the idea.
I love sipping my coffee on my deck in the morning as well!
Ooo the perfect time to get the deck all sorted, as the weather has been very good at the moment x
Yes, now is definitely the time for a new deck or to add one!
I am glad that it is sustainable and can be shipped to anywhere in the world.
Yes! I love that they ship anywhere in the world so that everyone can enjoy their luxury Brazilian wood.
It is the perfect time to do all these home and garden upgrades for sure. This looks great x
This looks great! My deck could certainly us a touch up for the warm weather!
I’m wary about “sustainable wood” from Brazil as those have been proven to be mostly untrue. Unless it’s FSC certified, all claims of sustainable should be verified first, only if you’re into sustainable brands and lifestyle. If not, no worries then!
I asked and Brazilian Wood Depot says that they are FSC certified. So, all good! Thank you for that valid point.
I always love to read about home renovation and deck makeover sounds like a great idea. Though I am from a different country i do have friends in the US who might be interested in knowing ore about Brazilian Wood Depot. Will be sure to share this post with them 🙂
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
I would love a deck! They seem so civilised and I like the idea of chilling out in a comfy chair watching the world go by with coffee or wine (depending on the time of day!). Unfortunately I think my downstairs neighbours would take issue if I tacked one on to my third floor flat, but I can still dream!
LOL! Nothing wrong with dreaming!
